 Why Functional Medicine Matters
Functional Medicine asks how and why illness occurs and restores health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual.

Functional medicine does not replace any medical training but instead enhances it.

Our society is experiencing a sharp increase in the number of people who suffer with complex, chronic inflammatory diseases such as diabetes, heart disease, cancer, mental illness, and autoimmune disorders  (thyroid, rheumatoid arthritis etc)

It is bankrupting our country.

We need a solution! Functional and Lifestyle Medicine can be part of the solution.

Functional Medicine has emerged as a promising model to support the rise of chronic inflammatory disease, by taking a systems approach to the health of an individual, partnering the practitioner and client/ patient in a collaborative mission to re-establish true balance and wellbeing.

The role of a functional medicine healthcare practitioner and nutritional professional can bridge the gap between the GPs office and their client.
"Health is a positive vitality – not merely the absence of disease"
